Designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop with Mason Telescopic Tribunes
On Monday, July 8, 2024, the Arena of the renovated Palasport of Genoa was presented to the numerous political and sports figures in attendance: a pre-inauguration ahead of the official opening scheduled for mid-September, coinciding with the opening of the Boat Show.
The structure is the first part to be inaugurated in the new “Waterfront di Levante” district, located in the former exhibition area, designed by architect Renzo Piano and his “Renzo Piano Building Workshop,” in collaboration with CDS Holding.
1,200 collapsible seats have been installed on Mason telescopic tribunes in a circular shape to ensure perfect visibility from every point in the Arena.
